Medtu Care's complete published fee schedule: what each fee buys, how every fee is credited to the next step, the refund rules, and what is always free.
Most medical travel agents will not tell you a price. We would rather start with one.
We published this as an article because pricing in medical travel is usually the last thing you find out, after you have already handed over your records, your phone number, and sometimes a scan of your passport. We publish our fees first, so you can decide whether we are worth talking to before you share anything at all.

INR equivalents are approximate, at about ₹86 per US dollar. The USD figure is the fee.
Those are the only fees. There is no “premium tier”, no per-procedure menu, and no percentage of your hospital bill, ever. The canonical version of this schedule, with the full milestone and refund detail, lives on our fees page.
Pay once, not twice: how crediting works
Each fee is credited in full to the next step.
- Start with the $50 teleconsult and decide you want the written opinion? You pay $100 more: the $50 comes off the $150.
- Have the $150 written opinion and decide to proceed with a full treatment journey? The $150 comes off the $1,000.
A patient who climbs the whole ladder (consultation, written opinion, full journey) pays $1,000 in total, not $1,200. You are never charged twice for moving forward, and there is no penalty for starting small. Most people should start small.
What the $1,000 journey fee is paid against
The full journey fee is milestone-gated: 30% / 40% / 30%. Nothing is due for a milestone before we start work on it, and each milestone is tied to deliverables you can point to.

The hospital comparison report names hospitals to you, privately, for your case. That is different from advertising hospital names on a website, which we do not do, because we are not selling any hospital.
What’s always free
Three things cost nothing, whether or not you ever pay us:
- Inquiry triage. You tell us about your case and hear our honest read on whether we can help, and how. If we are not the right help, we say so.
- This fee schedule. Knowing what things cost should never cost anything. We confirm the exact fee for your case in writing before you pay a rupee or a dollar.
- Visa checklists. Our document checklists for the Indian medical visa, covering what to gather and in what order, are free to anyone who asks.
The refund rules, in plain language

Why we publish prices when almost nobody else does
The standard model in this industry is “free to the patient”: the agent is paid a commission by the hospital, and that commission is financed by your bill. Industry analyses as of mid-2026 put facilitator commissions anywhere from 7.5% to 30% of the package price, with quotes to foreign patients padded 25–35% at the high end. The service is not free; the price is hidden.
We work the other way around. We take no commissions from hospitals. Our fees are paid by you, published upfront, and itemized separately from your hospital bill. Because you always pay the hospital directly, on the hospital’s own invoice, there is no place in the flow of money for a hidden margin.
Publishing our prices also makes us checkable. If anyone claiming to represent Medtu Care quotes you a different figure, you can see it contradicted here and on the fees page, in writing, with a date. A published price takes our word out of the equation.

What our fee does not include — said plainly
Our fee covers our work: case assembly, hospital comparison, admission and rate-lock coordination, visa dossier preparation, travel planning, on-ground coordination, and the discharge bill audit. It does not include the hospital’s charges, flights, accommodation, visa fees, or your day-to-day expenses. Those are yours, paid by you to the people providing them, at cost, with no markup from us. A real budget for a treatment journey has several line items; our fee is exactly one of them, and it is the only one we set.
How to use this schedule when comparing agents
If you are screening several facilitators, and you should be, this schedule gives you a concrete comparison tool. Put our three numbers next to whatever each competing agent tells you, then ask each of them the same four questions: Who pays you, and how much? Is your fee flat, or a percentage of my treatment cost? Will I pay the hospital directly, on its own invoice? Will you put your fee, your deliverables, and your refund terms in writing before I share my records?
An agent with honest answers will not mind the questions. An agent whose income depends on your not asking them will change the subject, usually back to how their service is free. When that happens, you have learned what you needed to know, at no cost, which is the other thing this schedule is for.
