Our fees, published
Most medical travel agents are “free” because a hospital pays them a commission, which quietly becomes part of your bill. We work the other way around. You pay us a published, flat fee; the hospital never pays us anything; and you always pay the hospital directly, on the hospital’s own invoice.
We take no commissions from hospitals. Our fees are paid by you, published upfront, and itemized separately from your hospital bill.
How the money moves
On a medical journey with us there are exactly two payments, and they never mix:
Your treatment money → the hospital
Deposits, treatment, everything: you pay the hospital directly, on the hospital's own invoice, at rates locked in writing. We never hold, route, or touch it.
Our fee → paid by you, published here
The fees on this page are the only money we receive for your case, invoiced separately from anything the hospital charges. There is no third path: We take no commissions from hospitals. Our fees are paid by you, published upfront, and itemized separately from your hospital bill.
Most medical travel is arranged the other way: an agent the hospital pays, whose fee travels invisibly inside the treatment bill. If you are comparing services, our verification checklist gives you the questions that reveal the difference. Use it on us too.
At a glance
| Service | Fee (USD) | ≈ INR |
|---|---|---|
| Remote consultation (teleconsult) | $50 | ₹4,300 |
| Written independent second opinion | $150 | ₹12,900 |
| Full journey coordination | $1,000 | ₹86,000 |
INR equivalents are approximate, at about ₹86 per US dollar. The USD figure is the fee.
These are our fees, the full cost of Medtu Care. Hospital treatment costs are separate, always quoted per case in writing, and explained honestly in what treatment in India really costs.
The fee schedule, step by step
Remote consultation (teleconsult)
$50 ≈ ₹4,300
A scheduled video consultation with a specialist relevant to your condition, with your file prepared beforehand and a written summary afterwards.
Credited in full toward a written second opinion.
Written independent second opinion
$150 ≈ ₹12,900
An independent specialist reviews your records and gives you a structured written opinion, yours to keep and share with your own doctor.
Credited in full toward full journey coordination.
Full journey coordination
$1,000 ≈ ₹86,000
End-to-end coordination of treatment in India, paid in three milestones, each against named deliverables you can hold us to.
Milestone-gated: 30% / 40% / 30%. Nothing is due for a milestone before we start work on it.
Pay once, not twice. Every fee is credited in full to the next step: the $50 consultation fee comes off the $150 second opinion, and the $150 second-opinion fee comes off the $1,000 full journey fee. You never pay twice for moving forward.
INR equivalents are approximate, at about ₹86 per US dollar. The USD figure is the fee.
The $1,000 journey fee, milestone by milestone
Full journey coordination is paid in three parts (30% / 40% / 30%), and each part is tied to named deliverables. Each milestone’s payment is due at the start of that milestone’s work, never before, and you can point at exactly what you received for it.
- 1
30% ($300)
Case dossier & hospital comparison report

- 2
40% ($400)
Admission, rate-lock, visa & travel
Your chosen hospital’s admission confirmed with an itemized rate locked in writing, the hospital’s visa-invitation letter obtained (it can only come from the hospital you choose, which is why choosing comes first), your visa application dossier prepared, and your travel and accommodation plan finalized through our travel arm Tripcuro.
- 3
30% ($300)
Treatment, bill audit & follow-up handover
On-ground coordination through your treatment, a line-by-line audit of your discharge bill against the locked rate, your complete records handed over before you fly home, and a follow-up handover your home clinician can pick up.
Your treatment money never passes through us
- You always pay the hospital directly (deposits, treatment, everything) on the hospital’s own invoice.
- We never hold treatment money, and we never invoice you for hospital charges.
- Our fee is a separate line item, paid to Medtu Care, itemized apart from your hospital bill.

Refunds, in plain language
| If this happens | What we do |
|---|---|
| We miss a deliverable (a no-show consultation, or a late delivery on our side) | Full refund of that fee or milestone. |
| Your Indian visa application is refused | The milestone 2 payment is refunded, less documented out-of-pocket costs already incurred on your behalf. |
| You travel to India and decide against going ahead with treatment | The milestone 3 payment is refunded. Deciding not to proceed is always your right. |
This is a summary. The full written refund policy is currently under legal review; until it is published, the exact refund terms for your case are confirmed in writing before you pay anything. The summary above is the floor, not the ceiling.
