Visit-timed care

Dental work during your India visit

Dental work is the classic visit-timed procedure: the price gap against the US, UK and Australia is wide enough to matter, much of it fits inside a family trip, and the quality ceiling in Indian private dentistry is high. It can also be done badly and sold aggressively — so this page is about doing it honestly: realistic windows, the two-trip implant reality, and quotes you can verify line by line.

What fits your travel window?

Typical published-clinical-guidance windows and market price ranges — your treating dentist has the final word:

Care Typical stay Before flying Market range
Crown / veneer (per tooth) 5–7 days (two sittings) Fly after finishing ~$150–350/tooth (veneer, market range)
Single implant + crown 3–5 days Simple cases: 3–5 days before flying ~$250–550/fixture (implant, market range)
Multiple implants 10–14 days Longer healing window before flying Scales with fixtures; quoted by plan
Full-arch / all-on-4 (per jaw) 8–14 days, or two trips 10–14 days before flying ~$5,000/jaw (market range)
Bone graft / sinus lift (if needed) Adds a stage 2+ weeks before flying Quoted separately within the plan

Market ranges are clinic-advertised figures from dental-tourism guides (accessed October 2026), quoted in dollars for comparison — your written plan prices your actual case.

The honest way to compare a quote from home with one from India

Line by line, and plan against plan. A serious dental plan names the implant brand and model, the crown material, the number of sittings, what happens if a graft is needed, and the follow-up arrangement once you are home — that last one is where dental tourism most often falls apart, and it is a question we put to every clinic before a plan reaches you. If you already have a quote from home and one from India, our written-opinion service reviews both and tells you what genuinely differs.

Aftercare across borders — the part to plan first

Implants and full-arch work are months-long relationships, not week-long purchases. Before you commit, the plan should say: who follows up remotely, what the clinic’s revision arrangement is, and what you do if something hurts in month three at home. We put those questions in writing to the treating dentist and include the answers in the plan you sign off — because a dental decision made on a beach-recovery high deserves the same scrutiny as a surgical one.

What you pay Medtu Care

We take no commissions from hospitals. Our fees are paid by you, published upfront, and itemized separately from your hospital bill. Dental clinics pay us nothing; you pay the clinic directly on its own invoice. Our fees are the published ladder: see the fee schedule.

Visit dental care: FAQs

How much cheaper is dental work in India than at home?
Widely published market ranges put a single Indian implant fixture around $250–550 against $1,800–5,000 in the US, and full-arch work around $5,000 per jaw against $20,000 or more — with the UK and Australia sitting near the US end. Those are clinic-advertised market ranges, not our quotes; the honest number for your mouth is a written treatment plan with itemized costs, which is exactly what we obtain before you commit.
What is the two-trip implant reality?
Implants need months of healing (osseointegration) between fixture placement and the final crown, so multi-stage implant work is often honestly structured as two visits — fixtures on this trip, crowns on the next — or as a single longer stay with immediate-loading protocols where your case allows it. Any plan that quietly promises “everything done in a week” for a full-arch case deserves scrutiny. We make the structure explicit before you book flights.
Is Indore a dental-tourism city?
We will be straight with you: India’s famous dental-tourism hubs are Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Indore is our home city, with capable dental and maxillofacial services inside its hospital bench, and for the diaspora and Gulf visitors we serve, the calculus includes family, follow-up and someone accountable on the ground — not just the sticker price. If your case needs a specialist hub we do not coordinate, we will tell you.
What visa do I need for dental work?
OCI cardholders: none. Other foreign nationals: planned implant or restorative programmes are what the e-Medical visa exists for — we coordinate the supporting letter. A single emergency filling during a holiday is a different, smaller thing; tell us your plan and we will point you at the right category.
What does Medtu Care charge for dental coordination?
The published ladder: $50 to plan the treatment around your travel window and get itemized clinic quotes; $150 to have a plan or a competing quote reviewed in writing before you commit; $1,000 only for journeys with real coordination work. Every fee is credited in full to the next step: the $50 consultation fee comes off the $150 second opinion, and the $150 second-opinion fee comes off the $1,000 full journey fee. You never pay twice for moving forward.
