For the diaspora & visiting families
Care during your India visit
Millions of people visit India every year to see family — and a growing share of them use the trip for something more: the annual checkup, the dental work priced out of reach at home, the eye procedure, care for parents. This section is about doing that properly: what genuinely fits inside a trip, the visa facts, and what our published fees cover — with no packages and no padding.
Who is this for?
OCI cardholders & the diaspora
You need no visa at all — the trip you already make can carry your checkup, your dental plan or your parents’ care. This is the lane India makes easiest, and the one we know from our own corridor work in the UK, US, Canada and Australia.
Gulf residents
With nonstop flights from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi into Indore, a long weekend can carry a checkup or a dental stage. Planned treatment needs the e-Medical visa — we coordinate the hospital letter.
Families caring for parents
The visit is often the one chance to sit with a doctor, review a parent’s reports and set up the year ahead — our written-opinion service exists for exactly that handover.
What fits inside a trip — and what does not?
Typical published-clinical-guidance windows, so you can match care to your travel window (your treating doctor has the final word):
| Care | Typical stay | Before flying |
|---|---|---|
| Executive health checkup | 1–2 days | No flight restriction |
| Dental crowns / veneers | 5–7 days (two visits) | Fly anytime after finishing |
| Single dental implant | 3–5 days | Fly after 3–5 days (simple cases) |
| Multiple implants / full-arch | 10–14 days, or two trips | Bone grafts need 2+ weeks before flying |
| LASIK / SMILE | 1–3 days | Typically cleared the next day; comfort buffer advised |
| Cataract surgery | 3–5 days per eye | Short buffer before flying |
| Hair transplant (FUE) | 2–4 days | Outpatient; travel feasible within days |
| Rhinoplasty | 10–14 days (splint removal) | Exactly a two-week-trip shape |
| IVF cycle (own gametes) | 12–16 days, or two trips | Timed to your cycle, planned ahead |
What does not fit a trip: anything abdominal or major — gallbladder, hernia, bariatric or cancer surgery needs a 10–14 day minimum on the ground and a cautious long-haul window after. Those are full treatment journeys, not visit add-ons, and they follow our treatment-facilitation path instead.
The visa facts, plainly
OCI cardholders: no visa, ever. Nepali citizens: standard ID. Everyone else: short wellness activities can sit within tourist-visa rules, but planned treatment is what the e-Medical visa exists for — an online application for eligible nationalities, with a hospital-issued invitation letter that we coordinate (see our e-Medical visa guide). We will always advise you onto the correct category rather than around it; advising the wrong visa to save paperwork is not a corner we cut.
How the fee ladder covers visit-timed care
Most visit-timed care is a planning-and-interpretation event, and our ladder reflects that: a $50 planning teleconsult to choose the right package and slot it into your dates; a $150 written opinion to interpret reports or settle a treatment choice; and $1,000 reserved for journeys with real coordination work — an admission, a multi-hospital selection, a full trip to run. We would rather tell you your case is a $50 event than dress it up as a bigger one.
Health checkups
Annual screening and executive checks timed to your visit — the right package for your history, scheduled around your dates, with results explained in writing.

We take no commissions from hospitals. Our fees are paid by you, published upfront, and itemized separately from your hospital bill. We also do not sell hospital packages, take tour-operator commissions, or publish before-and-after marketing — and if a hospital’s quote looks padded for a visiting patient, we say so. The facilitator-questions page lists what to ask anyone you are comparing us with.
