You share your diagnosis and what has been advised. We send a secure link for reports and imaging (nothing sensitive goes through the website form) and organize them into a file a specialist can act on.

Teleconsult or written second opinion
Before anyone books a flight, a specialist relevant to your condition reviews your case: a $50 video consultation or a $150 written opinion. Sometimes the honest answer is that travel is not needed, or that care in Accra or Kumasi serves you better.

If treatment in India makes sense, you get itemized quotes from suitable hospitals and a side-by-side comparison for your case. You decide; there is no obligation to continue.

Ghanaian nationals can generally apply online for India’s e-Medical visa. Confirm current terms on the official Indian visa portal, as rules change. Visa reality
Ghanaian nationals are generally eligible for India's e-Medical visa, applied for entirely online. Confirm current eligibility and validity terms on the official Indian visa portal before applying, as rules change. Up to two companions can typically apply for linked e-Medical Attendant visas. A yellow-fever vaccination certificate is required for travel to India from Ghana. We coordinate the hospital invitation letter your application needs and hand you a checklist; decisions and timelines belong to the Indian authorities, and we will never pretend to influence them.

How payment works
Two separate payments, never mixed. Treatment costs go from you to the hospital directly, on the hospital's own invoice, at rates we lock in writing before you travel. We never hold or route treatment money. Our facilitation fee is published on the Fees page ($50 teleconsult · $150 written second opinion · $1,000 full journey, milestone-gated), each step credited in full to the next. Hospital quotes are USD-denominated with clear validity windows (useful when the cedi is moving), and a relative in the UK, US or elsewhere can pay the hospital directly in their own currency, seeing the same documents you do.
How Ghanaian families fund this journey
In most Ghanaian cases the payer is a family rather than one person: siblings at home, a church welfare committee, a relative abroad. Every document we produce (quote, fee invoice, milestone receipt) is written for that reality, with verifiable numbers everyone contributing can read and question.
NHIS and self-funding
NHIS does not cover treatment outside Ghana, and several of the treatments families travel for (organ transplants, many cancer therapies) sit outside its package even at home. Confirm your own position with NHIS, but most journeys to India are self-funded end to end, which is exactly when an advisor on the patient's side of the table, with a published fee, earns its keep.
Family and church
Church welfare funds in Ghana exist but are mostly built around care at home, so the money for an India journey usually comes from family pooling: contributions from siblings, savings, sometimes an asset sale. A family committee needs numbers it can verify, and that is what an itemized quote and a published fee are for.
The diaspora
Ghanaians in the UK, US and Europe routinely carry the largest share of a medical journey. A sponsor abroad can pay the hospital directly in their own currency, sidestepping cedi conversion entirely, and we run the case with the patient in Ghana and the payer on another continent, with both seeing the same documents.
How we are paid
Many India-treatment agents serving West Africa are free to the patient because a hospital pays them a commission for each patient delivered, which shapes where you are sent and is ultimately priced into what you pay. We take no commissions from hospitals. Our fees are paid by you, published upfront, and itemized separately from your hospital bill. We encourage you to put our itemized quote next to any package and compare it line by line.
