    Teleconsult or written second opinion

    Before anyone books a flight, a specialist relevant to your condition reviews your case: a $50 video consultation or a $150 written opinion. Because it is paid by you, it answers only to you. Sometimes the honest answer is that travel is not needed, and we will say so plainly. This step also works well when a relative abroad is arranging things on the family's behalf.

    If treatment in India makes sense, you get itemized quotes from suitable hospitals and a side-by-side comparison for your case. You decide; there is no obligation to continue.

    e-Medical visa

    Eritrean nationals can generally apply online for India’s e-Medical visa. Confirm current eligibility and validity terms on the official Indian visa portal, as rules change. We coordinate the hospital invitation letter the application needs and give you a document checklist. How payment works

Two separate payments, never mixed. Treatment costs go from you to the hospital directly, on the hospital's own invoice, at rates we lock in writing before you travel. We never hold or route treatment money. Our facilitation fee is published on the Fees page ($50 teleconsult · $150 written second opinion · $1,000 full journey, milestone-gated), each step credited in full to the next. For most Eritrean families the workable route is a relative abroad paying the hospital directly in their own currency. Transfers from within Eritrea take planning under the rules at home, so the funding plan comes first, and patient and payer see the same documents wherever they are. We take no commissions from hospitals. Our fees are paid by you, published upfront, and itemized separately from your hospital bill.

What to prepare

  • A passport valid well beyond your travel dates, and generous time for all travel paperwork (Indian and your own)
  • Your most recent medical reports, imaging and prescriptions (originals where possible)
  • A referral or summary letter from your treating doctor in Eritrea, if you have one

Foreign-currency transfers from within Eritrea take planning under the rules at home (check current requirements with your own bank), and in practice the most straightforward route is a family member abroad paying the hospital directly in their own currency. The hospital invoices in USD on its own paperwork, the payer abroad settles it, and patient and payer see the same documents from different countries. We never hold treatment money ourselves, and our own published fee is a separate, smaller payment the whole family can verify.
My records are in Tigrinya or Arabic: is that a problem?
No. Specialists in India review records in English, so we work with you to get the key documents (discharge summaries, imaging reports, pathology) into English before the review, and we tell you up front which documents matter. Imaging itself (scans, X-rays) needs no translation. Consultations can be arranged with interpretation where needed.
A relative abroad is organizing everything: can you work with them directly?
Yes, and for Eritrean families this is often the most practical arrangement. The relative abroad can hold the WhatsApp conversation, receive the quotes, pay our fee and pay the hospital, while the patient at home shares records through the secure link and joins the teleconsult. Everyone named by the family sees the same documents at the same time, whatever country they are in.
